Ric, a qualified Chartered Accountant, started his career at Deloitte in 1993 and worked his way into the Enterprise Risk Services division at the New Zealand office. His role focused on risk management, governance and control consulting. Ric returned to South Africa in 1998 to set up a unique and innovative ethics whistleblowing hotline service for Deloitte which has gone on to be a successful business within Deloitte. In 1999, he transferred to the firm’s Strategic Business Development division as a Business Development Executive. In 2002, Ric was appointed as an Associate Director of Deloitte and helped to establish the firm’s Innovation and Growth service offering to clients. In 2005, he resigned from Deloitte to establish his own strategic growth advisory business, providing advisory services to Deloitte, Aurecon, Superior Choices, Seman Consulting Engineers and others.
