James has over 24 years of experience in stockbroking. He joined Legae Securities in 2012 as Chief Executive Officer having moved from JP Morgan Equities where he served as the Managing Director- Head of Sub Saharan Equities for 5 years. During his 14 years at JP Morgan, he held the positions of Head of Cash Equities, then Head of Central Europe, Middle East and Africa Equities and finally as Managing Director, where he was responsible for the equities business and driving the strategy agenda. James was a member of the JSE's Trading Advisory Committee and JP Morgan's local and operating committees. Prior to this, he worked at UBS New York, where he was responsible for South Africa's international distribution for over 5 years and Merrill Lynch (Davis Borkum Hare) as a sales trader.
